Read opening:
Read James 4:6,10
What does it mean to be humble?
Read Paragraph 1
understanding not just knowing AND living with a right
attitude.
Read paragraph 2
Some things are so valuable and precious we only want very
special people to see. Like when Mary, Jesus mother, treasured in her heart
what she witnessed in the life of her son and savior.
Read Luke 2:1-19 and 2:41-51 are
two accounts of Mary keeping these treasures in her heart.
Read paragraph 3
Do you remember what we talked about last time we met?...A man
with a heart full of himself.
Read paragraph 4…Read Proverbs 2:11 and Ephesians 5:6
What will watch over you…what will keep you safe?
Read paragraph 4
What kinds of things might a man full of pride do or say to
impress someone?
Read paragraph 5
I do not want to just point the finger in judgment at
someone else when I myself do the very same thing. I want to show compassion
and be forgiving as I use wisdom and understanding because I know that I have
done the very same thing. But by the grace of God he is renewing my heart and
mind every day so that I can be the new creation he has made me to be.
What do we as ladies
do or say when we are full of pride and are trying to impress someone?
How does God respond to proud people?
In what ways should your look be different than other girls
who dress for attention? Not just outer look but the inner also.
Was the princess wise to send Prince Peacock away?
How can we as mothers teach our daughters to discern motives
and character? The best way I see is to be honest with yourself.
Pray we would be humble, wise and understanding.
